Most Jira admins and PMs juggle more than one saved filter — “my open bugs,” “this sprint,” “unassigned in Project X.” In Excel-like Bulk Issue Editor for Jira, changing which filter you were viewing used to mean leaving the spreadsheet, going back to the Create Spreadsheet screen, picking a different filter, and opening a new sheet. If you were mid-edit, that context was gone.
As of version 7.3.0, you can switch between your saved Jira filters directly from inside Spreadsheet View. A filter picker sits right in the toolbar: personal filters and filters shared with your team both show up there. Pick a different one and the spreadsheet reloads with the new filter applied, no trip back to the setup screen required.
Picture a program manager coordinating a release across three projects. She’s reviewing “Release 12 – Open Blockers,” clears a couple of them, then needs to check “QA Regression Backlog” before her next meeting. Instead of backing out of her current view, she opens the filter picker, switches filters, and is looking at the regression backlog seconds later. No lost work, no re-navigating.
It’s a small change, but it adds up for anyone who spends their day moving between different slices of the same Jira projects, the fewer times you have to stop and re-set-up your view, the more of that time goes toward actual editing.
