Labels do a lot of quiet organizational work in Confluence: powering page properties reports, filters, and navigation. When content syncs but labels don’t, that structure quietly breaks on the destination side even though the page itself looks fine.
Label sync keeps it intact.
Turn it on in the sync config and labels travel with the page, the same way comments can. You can go a step further too: set specific target labels that trigger an automatic sync the moment they’re added to a page, without needing auto-sync turned on for everything else in the space.
Picture a space that tracks project status pages with a page properties report, all identified by a “status-report” label. With label sync on and that label set as a trigger, adding it to a new page both syncs the page immediately and keeps it correctly tagged on the destination side — the report structure holds together in both spaces without anyone maintaining it by hand.
It’s a detail that’s easy to overlook because it lives inside the sync config rather than being a feature with its own screen — worth checking for any space where labels do real organizational work.
