Secure Custom Fields for Jira enables you to create a field and attach it to one or more screens in a single form.
An admin picks the field type, names it, and chooses which screens it should appear on (with a built-in search to find the right screen fast) all before clicking Confirm once.
There’s no separate hop to reopen the field afterward just to associate it with a project’s screens.
Picture someone trialing the app for the first time, evaluating whether it’s worth rolling out to their org. They open the app, click Create New Field, pick Secure Text Field, name it “Vendor Contract Notes,” search for and select the two screens it needs to appear on, and confirm. Thirty seconds later, they have a working secured field; No second trip back into settings, no wondering whether they forgot a step. That’s the difference between a trial that gets ten minutes of attention and one that gets abandoned after five.
This doesn’t change what the field can do once it exists: permissions, encryption, and field types are the same as always. It changes how long it takes to get there, which matters most for the admin who’s deciding, in real time, whether this app is worth the rollout.
