Conditional formatting is how a lot of teams spot what needs attention: overdue issues in red, blockers highlighted, high-priority items flagged.
Exports now preserve both JQL-based and field-based conditional formatting, including background colors, so the Excel file looks the same as it did in the app. Alongside that, the two ways of setting up conditional formatting: simple field-based rules and more complex JQL-based ones, have been unified into a single interface, making rules faster to configure and easier to manage in one place instead of two.
An operations lead exports her Friday status view every week before a leadership sync: red for overdue, yellow for at-risk, green for on-track. Before this update, that color coding vanished the moment the file left the app, and she’d spend ten minutes manually reformatting cells so the export actually matched what she’d been looking at all week. Now she exports and sends it straight through.
Reporting only holds up if the numbers people see outside the app match what’s happening inside it, this closes one of the more common gaps between the two.
