A reorg happens, a team gets renamed, or a new compliance policy lands, and suddenly an admin needs to update who can view or edit a whole set of secured fields, not just one. Until now, that meant opening each field individually, one after another, to make the same permission change over and over.

Secure Custom Fields for Jira now supports bulk editing of view and edit permissions across multiple secured fields in Global and Project settings, in one go.

An admin selects the fields that need the same access change, updates the permission once, and applies it everywhere it’s needed. No more repeating the same click path 40 times. This shipped alongside a redesigned homepage that surfaces Bulk Change Settings, Audit Logs, and Import/Export, plus clickable breadcrumbs so it’s obvious where you are in the app.

Picture an admin who just found out a departing contractor group still has edit access to a dozen secured fields across three projects. Before, that meant opening each field, one at a time, to remove the group and confirm the change (a task that ate an afternoon and was easy to get partway through and lose track of). Now it’s one selection, one permission update, done.

This is the kind of change that matters most the second or third time an admin has to touch permissions at scale. The first secured field is easy to set up one at a time; the fortieth one is where the old workflow started to hurt.
