If you’re the person maintaining a team’s tracker template (a campaign plan, a budget sheet, an onboarding checklist) you’re touching Excel-like Tables for Jira dozens of times a day. Every extra click or page reload in that loop adds up.
Building a new template used to mean an explicit save step after creating the issue, forgettable if you got pulled away mid-task. And every save on any table triggered a full page refresh, which meant losing your place and waiting for Jira to redraw the screen before you could keep working.
Three changes from this release target exactly that friction.
Templates now save automatically the moment an issue is created — no separate save step to remember.
Saving a table no longer refreshes the page, so edits land instantly and you stay right where you were.
And the toolbar got reorganized around a new App Menu, so the controls you reach for often aren’t buried in the same row as everything else.
