Ricksoft at Atlassian Team ’26: Highlights from Anaheim

Team ’26 has come and gone, and what a week it was. As a Signature Sponsor, Ricksoft spent three days on the show floor with Jira and Confluence admins, team leads, and fellow partners — and we’re still buzzing from it.

🎤 A proud moment for the wider Ricksoft family

Our Solutions Partner team, Ricksoft K.K., shared the stage with Mazda at a Team ’26 theater session: “Streamline defect management: How Mazda leverages Teamwork Graph to drive out defects.” Mazda connected their siloed automotive compliance toolchain (Codebeamer, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jira) through the Teamwork Graph instead of consolidating platforms, with Ricksoft K.K. as solution partner on the build.

Getting to tell that story alongside a customer as recognizable as Mazda, in front of a room of Jira and Confluence admins, is exactly the kind of moment sponsorship is for.

🔥 What we saw on stage

Atlassian’s flagship event delivered again this year, and the theme was impossible to miss:

The “AI-native organization.” Co-CEO Mike Cannon-Brookes used his Founders’ Keynote to push past AI-as-a-feature talk, framing 2026 around teams that build alongside agents by default. His line that stuck with a lot of the room: “Intelligence is the engine; context is the fuel.” He also made the case for why Atlassian is betting on its own data: “The real moat is your institutional memory — every plan, document, and decision your teams have ever made.”

A customer keynote that hit close to home for admins. Magnus Östberg, Chief Software Officer at Mercedes-Benz, talked candidly about the company’s move from “AI novice” to “AI native” — and admitted the technology itself wasn’t the hard part. Change management was.

The Teamwork Graph went from internal engine to open platform. Atlassian opened it up to third-party agents via a new Teamwork Graph CLI (300+ commands) and Rovo’s MCP server, both in open beta; with claims of 44% more accurate agent responses and 48% fewer tokens when grounded in the Graph.

120+ sessions ran across the three days, in what’s fair to call one of the largest gatherings of Atlassian customers and partners anywhere.

🚀 The product news that mattered

Agents in Jira went GA: work items can now be assigned directly to agents, with full audit logging.

Rovo Studio (no-code agent/automation builder) went GA, alongside a beta for Max mode in Rovo Chat, aimed at multi-step autonomous task execution.

Remix with Rovo launched in beta for Confluence — turning text and tables into charts, infographics, and slides automatically.

Third-party agents in Confluence entered open beta, with early partners including Lovable, Replit, Databricks, and Gamma.

Jira Product Discovery Enterprise went GA, and a new Feedback app entered early access.

A new Service Collection bundle introduced an Incident Command Center and Rovo Service for autonomous/supervised L1 support.

Adoption numbers Atlassian shared: Rovo is now used by 75% of the Fortune 500 and over 90% of enterprise cloud customers, with 14M+ Rovo-assisted actions in a single month.

🎯 What we took away

Three days of face-to-face conversations always teach us more than any survey. A few themes that came up again and again:

AI is only as good as the data underneath it. Even inside Atlassian’s own community, the pushback on opening up the Teamwork Graph was pointed: an agent querying stale documentation and inconsistent Jira usage doesn’t magically become intelligent just because it’s now AI-accessible. That’s a conversation admins are having internally too, not just at Atlassian’s booth.

For marketplace vendors, Forge migration economics just got more attractive, with the new 0% revenue share on the first $1M for Forge apps.
